I don't know about you, Mr., Mrs., or Ms. America how you feel about our government financially rescuing, bailing out the top dogs on Wall Street, but I think it smells like a dead skunk!
When was the last time our government hurried a bill through congress to financially rescue you? And asked no questions? Required no guarantee, that the financial troubles they're( or we're) getting you out of, will not happen again? NEVER! NEVER! NEVER!
I want an investigation of the internal working of these financial institutes to find out what happened? Who authorized the inept working of these companies that ended up with the US government having to bail them out? I want to know: Don't you?
I want to know why the CEO's of these almost defunct financial institutions give themselves huge salaries, that the average American will never see? How can these CEO's be worth that income, if their financial ships are sinking to the bottom of the money ocean on Wall Street?
Would you get paid for doing a lousy job? Hell, no you'd get fired!
Let's ask ourselves, what the heck is going on here?
Have we all gone nuts? Are we sticking our heads in the sand? Do we want accountability from the people our money is helping to save?
Have you called your State Rep? Your congressman? Have you asked them to make these CEO's
accountable?

Beautiful Silk Scarves~ Mystic Silks
It is getting closer to the holidays: Weird saying that when it's only the 22nd of September, but it appears people try to get their shopping done earlier, and earlier every year. And, too, the promos seem to begin before halloween is over, and Thanksgiving Day seems to get skipped over completely; after all who gives or gets gifts on Thanksgiving?
Seems like Thanksgiving day is a day we should spend more time giving thanks for all the good things in our lives.
But, I just want to let everyone know, if you're looking for a gift that has a lot of love made into it, come take a look at my shop: http://mysticsilks.etsy.com
Thank you!

It's The Anniversary of 9/11
It's the anniversary of 9/11. I have blogged about this silk painting before.
It is one I created on September 21st of 2001. I used a photo from TIME magazine to inspire me, to help keep me focused.
I still have this painting wrapped securely in black plastic tucked away inside my closet.
I once had someone who was interested in buying this painting, he stated: It
gives me a sense of closure. I want to buy this, please email me, ---he left his email address, and I emailed him about the painting. He stated he was taking a trip and would contact me as soon as he returned.
I never heard from him again: Perhaps he changed his mind.
If anyone is interested in owning this painting you can contact me at http://mysticsilks.etsy.com

Do I miss Smoking?--Mystic Silks
" Einstein's E=Mc2" Silk Paintings
Well to answer this question, I would first need to think of all the reasons to smoke--Is there any?
I'd have to go way back to my original intention for smoking. I was 15 and needed to quit school to help support my family. I thought smoking would give the appearance that I was older than 15 when I went to job interviews. You know, I'm not sure they looked at me smoking and thought, " Hmm, she looks mature enough to handle this job." But, hey in my mind it was a prop. And, I smoked so boys would think I was old enough to date. Must've worked there, I ended up getting married at age 17. :)
OK, then I smoked to fit in. Back then in the late 50's 60's, it was chic to smoke. Women smoking were in fashion mags, on TV, in movies, on bill-boards. That smoke curling seductively from a women's lips , was the next best thing to a kiss--sooo provoacative, sexy--- Men wore cowboy hats and looked like hunks, with that cig in the corner of their mouth.
Men and women were seduced into smoking by the ad makers working for the tobacco companies. And folks, they made it CHEAP to smoke--25cents a pack!!

We used to give cartons of smokes to our parents, grandpareents, uncles and smoking aunts. It was the thing to be, and do,--- Back then.
So back to, do I miss smoking? When I stop to think of what they( the cigs) were doing to me, NO, who would miss being killed a little bit, day by day?
And, what did they( the cigs) ever do for me, really?
